July Horse Boy Camp
Summer is coming & so is HORSE BOY CAMP!
We are very excited to be able to offer Horse Boy camp for the 4th year running!
We are excited to join forces, once again, with Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads to help with our incredible campers! This provides an invaluable experience to these youth volunteers in helping their peers to have an awesome camp experience, and this also provides a solid, steady group of volunteers for the week for our kiddos who need and do best with consistency.
Space is VERY limited, so make sure to register!

Movement Method 1 & 2 certification courses
CHATS will be hosting Movement Method 1 & 2 Certification courses on September 28th & 29th from 10am-2pm.
Movement Method is designed to show parents, teachers, therapists, and equine allies, how to help children with autism and other similar special needs, learn more effectively by creating an environment in which they can thrive and teaching them through their passions and motivations.
These programs are aimed at teaching perspective taking, social skills, life skills and academics that can work for any kid, special needs or not.

Movement Method: A Neuroscience Based, Kinetic Approach to Cognition in Autism & Similiar Neurodiversities
It is with great excitement I announce that the Movement Method Conference being held at Eastern Virginia Medical School Sept 13, 2024 is open for registration!! Our finalized brochure is below. Scan the QR code to register.
This conference is HUGE on so many levels:
Dr. Temple Grandin is coming to speak in person as our key note speaker!
Rupert Isaacson, who created these methods, and his son, Rowan, will be presenting.
PhDs and practitioners from all over the world will be presenting!! Movement Method is in 42 countries and we are beyond proud to have brought it to the east coast!
This conference is for physicians, specialists, medical students, educators, occupational therapists, speech therapists, parents and other family members.
We have made it accessible to everyone by providing a virtual option particularly for parents who may not be able to find someone to take care of their child so they can attend in person. I will say, however, this is going to be an insanely amazing day with the ability to meet the movers and shakers of "our" world so I highly recommend attending in person if at all possible.
Please share this as far and wide as you can! We will be presenting a lot of school data where Movement Method has been implemented in the classrooms here in the US and in Germany - the results will make you rethink everything!
Cheers to bringing this to a large medical platform and the hopes of having it be a routinely recommended intervention when you go to the doctor!

This is our third summer offering Horse Boy camp and we are so pumped to announce that it will be from 9-12pm now (adding 2 more hours to the day than in previous years) but for the same price of $500 per camper for the week.
